As you guys might know, Japan is one of my top fav destinations in the world! I’ve been to Japan like 3 times, and I am still not tired of this country, what with its crazy amazing fresh seafood, unique culture and awesome shopping paradise. Japan just has so much to offer, and every trip is always a brand new experience. Yeahhhh Here’s my Hokkaido Itinerary for all those who’ve asked for it!

Clearly, there were more places in Hokkaido I would love to visit but due to the brevity of time, we were limited to 5 cities: Hakodate函館, Chitose千歲, Noboribetsu登別, Sapporo札幌 and Otaru小樽.

The freshest seafood, the most succulent melon, the most spectacular night and the finest ramen, you can be found in Hokkaido, Japan a beautiful island in northern Japan. DAY 1

After we reached new chitose airport in 10am morning,

start our day with first location:

Date Jidaimura Noboribetsu登別伊達時代村

We have lunch over here, this restaurant caters to popular tastes, serving classic Japanese Soba and Udon Noodles and Rice dishes. Here you can savor a taste of pumpkin, chicken, corn, wanton and vegetables !!

Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura is a history theme park highlighting the Edo Period, one of the most attractive era in Japanese history. Step back in time to enjoy traditional games, activities, theaters, street performances and more. The charm of ancient Japan is abundant as you mingle with the Ninja and Oiran courtesans so symbolic of the Edo Period.

an interesting place which brought us back to the Edo era. It's like reliving the past and the lifestyle then.

Second location:

Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe 登別水族館

Aquarium with a variety of marine life, plus underwater tunnels, penguin parades & dolphin shows.

But this is the first time we can see Penguin walk outside and they are so cute. It was a very good experience though.

After penguins walk, there is sea lion and dolphins performance. All are very chubby as they keep asking for after they did one trick. So fatssssssbut cute.

Third location:

OTARU HELL VELLY 登別地獄谷

So much steam around the iron spring pond (tetsusen-ike) platform!

The lava formed a strange odd-shaped valley.

I really look forward to the forest treks and soaking in the hot springs, especially after a tiring day!!

Around 5pm, we went to our hotel near hell valley, named as Noboribetsu Sekisuitei (石水亭)

Also some store beside selling snacks and souvenirs!

So I get this two at the store.

LETAO is really nice, please don't missed out this when you at Japan!!!

Yes I get chance to soaked in the hot spring as our hotel have the spring pond!

DINNER AT HOTEL懷石料理

Had a very pleasant Japanese 懷石料理 here, I remember there was alot dishes included and everything was above my standard, especially the chicken that melt in my mouth, fresh seafood and the perfect peach sponge cake for sweet closure, definitely highly recommended.

Night time:

We walked 10 mins to 7-11 , everything was fascinating, to wide variety of ready-to-eat food, beverages and magazines.

SECOND DAY

Morning !!

The breakfast is good which with variety choice of food, sea food portion is quite amazing!

My second day in Noboribetsu 登別 has come and once again the weather was just as gorgeous as the day before.

Headed to our First location:

Onuma Quasi National Park大沼國定公園

The park was designated as a quasi-national park on July 1st, 1958. The park has 9083 hectares inhabited by a wide diversity of animals and plants.

The park has abundant nature and there are many ways you can enjoy a whole day there.

There are also many restaurants, souvenir shops and facilities that visitors can enjoy inside the park.

We had lunch over here.

Third location:

The Motomachi area which is located at the foot of Mount Hakodate became one of the favourite area for foreign residents. Hence you can find a wide variety of beautiful exotic townscape with Western-style buildings and slopes.

Hakodate Orthodox Church哈里斯特正教會

This church is that of the Orthodox Church in Japan founded in 1859 by the Russian Consulate. The existing building, built in 1916, is known as a representation of western-style buildings in Hakodate. It has been designated as important cultural property.

Roman Catholic Motomachi Church-羅馬天主教元町教會

This Catholic church was founded in 1877. The existing building was rebuilt in 1923. The magnificent altar in the cathedral was sent from the pope.

Fourth location:

金森倉庫群Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse

Hakodate Port was among the first Japanese ports to be opened to international trade towards the end of the Edo Period (1600-1867).

This red brick warehouse was built in the Meiji Era and is now a retro spot used as a shopping mall. A classic place for finding souvenirs with an impressive selection!

Of course we had shopping over here!!!

And we saw a monkey is performing..hahah so cute!

We went for the famous burger~

And the view over there is really impressive!!

Bathrooms with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries are featured in every room.

The hotel offers an excellent variety of recreational facilities, including hot spring bath, my favourite and must-do every night!

Dinner buffet was good with seafood, fresh sashimi, grilled scallops and snow crab legs besides other cooked food and desserts but there were a few tour groups who were very rowdy.

Fifth location:

函館山纜車 mount hakodate ropeway

The night view of Hakodate is especially the best night view sightseeing experience to satisfy your desire!

It is not a place you can come visit so easily, so you want to make sure to enjoy it fully.

But its so cold and windy so we just enjoyed like 5 mins? Hahahah then we run in the buildings!!

After joining a cable car (cable car with a capacity of 100-200 people for one route) to the top of Mount Hakodate, visitors will be watching the beautiful, sparkling, and crystal night view. Having many feedbacks said, “the night scene is much nicer on Christmas days”. This property is rated 3 stars in the Japanese Michelin Guide. The best night view is 30 minutes after sunset.

THIRD DAY

Had a quick breakfast at hotel then we move on to our first location,

HAKODATE Morning market

One of the joys of traveling has to be experiencing the food. Here in Hakodate, all the food available is deliciously fresh!

One of the must visit attraction is definitely Hakodate Morning Market, is where a cluster of 300 shops selling fresh seafood and vegetables. In short is where you get to taste one of the freshest seafood.

Yesss Im waiting to check out this place like so long, finally im here!!!

If you wanna try the sweetest melon in the world, you must try here in Hakodate morning market!!! So sweet!!!

We got Grapes in 3100yen which is quite expensive but is taste really heavenly good!!!!

Seafood stores around here and we sit-down to enjoy the fresh seafood!!

Uni lover.. When a dish of Uni couldn’t satisfy us at Uni Murakami

Its Ezo abalone. Pour some soy sauce over it and pop it into your mouth! We are sure the tenderness of it will amaze you!

We think that the flavor of Ezo abalone is more refined and rich than the bigger and more expensive Black abalone.

Squid Fishing – After catching the squid, they will prepare fresh squid sashimi immediately

We caught one!!

After catching the squid, we can eat this as a sashimi! The squid sashimi meat is surprisingly transparent, and the texture is irresistible!

It is so bouncy, and then you can almost hear the sound of the texture as you eat it!

And 1st ice creammmm of the day!!

Seafood is not the only thing on sale here; there is also a variety of dried fish, rate delicacies, souvenirs, and sweets. It makes for a very convenient place to shop.

Instead of going up the tower, we just walking around the park …. so windy and cold!

With plenty of dining option available, it is the best starting point to fill our tummy with authentic Japanese food!

Fourth location:

熊牧場-昭和新山Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch

Actually beside me, the bear’s skin is real…….hmmmm

Those bears are kept in enclosures with about 4 all the way to 12/15 bears in one enclosure.

We are allowed to buy packets of 4 apples for 200Yen or 12 apples for 500Yen. It is definitely not enough and the bears will fight if you throw them one by one.

Dinner buffet was good with sashimi, beef, noodles, seafood and besides other cooked food and desserts like ice cream!

The beeffff is soooo gooddd!! Screaammmming when eating!

Hot spring bathhhh again in hotel. Yay!

4TH DAY

OTARU CANAL 小樽市小樽運河

A must visit for all first timers. For a lovely scenic stroll along the canal and a photo opportunity. We spent most of our time walking along the canal or at viewpoints by the bridge.

otaru sakaimachi street小樽步行街

A long street of shops with European influence in its architecture. You may find great food such as fresh seafood, nice pastry, desserts and etc.

Alright, on our way ~~

First stop we went to a coffee house to grab the coffee/juice and they will free a HELLO KITTY seasonal cup!!!!

Then We walk along the street and bought some Japanese snacks over here, it taste really good! This brand LETAO is the best, the cookies is better than baiselianren , the soft serve taste milky and nice!!

Then we tried this!!!

And we tried the famous cream puff! The puff pastry is light and crispy, while the filling is creamy and refreshing. I like that it wasn't too sweet, such that it does not overpower the flavor of the cream puff itself. The original one was best.

Lunch - 小樽海鮮市場 seafood stew

We’re going to have our bravery onto get some delicious market-cooked food!

Each of us had a seafood lunch set which you can see

including soup, rice, udon, fish and vegetable!

Ofcourse we self order crab, oyster, abalone etc….

Third location:

白色戀人工廠

Shiroi Koibito Park is a great destination which is built on the idea of delicious dishes, fun and fairy tale about the sweet past. In addition to the famous Shiroi Koibito Factory, the park also features a coffee shop where guests can enjoy confectionery produced by Ishiya Co., or homemade Cookie Cake, Toy Gallery and Rose Garden.

Fourth location:

Tanukikoji shopping street 狸小路商店-薄野區（shopping）

This is a landmark in Sapporo and is an enjoyable undercover street running 7 city blocks in central Sapporo.

This is a nice complement to the underground pedestrian walk between Susukino and Sapporo Station.

Good shopping for duty free products!! We bought our souvenirs all over here, like dries scallop, 3 little French fries, bai se lian ren, pistachio, seaweed and etc…they will help us to put in box easy for taking. Back Malaysia!

Super love their drug store that sells almost everything at very affordable price such as snacks, japanese instant noodles, toiletries, medicine/drugs/ health products, of course I m dying inside exploring all the beauty brand and I bought like alottttttt!!! Ahahah

The most beautiful of the shrines I have seen

Filled with peacefulness!!!

There are two rows of cherry trees in front.

Sapporo clock tower 時計台（鐘樓）

However, the Clock Tower (1878) is in the heart of Sapporo - close to the train station and Odori Park. It reflects the first hours of this city of settlers, and once belonged to the Sapporo Agricultural College, founded to train, under American influence, the freshly settled pioneers on Hokkaido Island, which offers two nice panoramic views of the surroundings.

Odori Park 大通公園

Odori Park (大通公園, Ōdōri Kōen) is the broad median of Odori ("large street") in the center of Sapporo, separating the city into north and south.

We went for shopping, there is a lot of shops surrounding and also underground for the shopping.

I was excited to try this buffet. It’s a kind of mix concept between charcoal grill and seafood restaurant.

Beef and pork steak are available for your choice to choose. Few selection for soup. Basic fried items offered. Alcohol available at additional charged. Paid 5600 yen per pax 100 min without alcohol, don’t know how why it’s not match with the advertising - may be taxes.
